We began Aera Gear one day over coffee and kaya toast, after months of long talks in humble Singapore.

We looked at every consumer EDC company on the market and saw the same compromise: beautiful or functional, never both. The sleek ones couldn’t hold a gym kit, and the practical ones killed your outfit. Nobody had solved it—so we did.
Aera Gear was built on a single belief: everyday carry should be as refined as it is functional.
Aera is the ancient Greek word for “air” and “wind”, as well as the old Latin word for “era” and “epoch”.
We want to craft sincere gear that serve as timeless companions for the active urban soul. Our first release, the Buckle Backpack, isn’t just about carrying more. It’s about carrying better.

Design
Thoughtful design stirs something inside us, every choice and restraint is geared towards serving the user. We cycle through countless prototypes, using an enormous amount of discipline to strip away the unnecessary. We know that truthful pursuit, shines quietly. What is left in our designs turns ordinary everyday usage into satisfying “heck-yeahs”.
Materials
Sincere engineering starts with premium components. Discernment can be felt, down to the touch. Whether it is splashing water, double checking stainless steel, clasp testing magnets, we’ve done it. We invest heavily in exploring every detail to ensure nothing is purely decorative, selecting thoughtful and industry level materials.
